- Golf Design Scotland is a Golf Course Architecture Consultancy Company based in Edinburgh, Scotland and was founded in 2002 by native Scotsman, Richard Le Sueur.
On any project, large or small, Richard considers it essential for the Golf Course Architect to employ a hands-on approach throughout all phases of design, construction and establishment. His methods ensure intense attention to detail, creating an exciting and unique golf course in keeping with the existing landscape while respecting the clients brief and budget. Richard has a unique combination of qualifications and experiences within the golf industry enabling him to provide effective involvement at all stages.
Golf Design Scotland can offer full design services to clients who are developing new golf courses, or to existing golf clubs looking to redevelop, restore or expand their existing facilities. Richard can also work with golf club staff and officials to create and implement comprehensive long term development plans.
Current projects include the master planning for three new build sites around Scotland, major drainage works at Rutherford Castle Golf Club (Scotland), redesign of Fairfield Golf Course (Manchester), conceptual design work at Belleisle Golf Course (Ayrshire), planning for a new build project in Bulgaria and the reconstruction of three holes at Dumbarton Golf Club (West of Scotland).
